Code Enforcement

INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE

On April 12, 2012, Council adopted Ordinance #298, the International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC).  “The code is intended to provide requirements addressing the public health, safety and welfare as they relate to the use and maintenance of existing structures and premises”. 2012 IPMC pg 1-2.  This ordinance updates past IPMC versions, which were adopted and amended in Ordinance #276 and #285.

During the winter months, all snow and ice need to be removed from sidewalks within a twenty-four (24) hour period.

As we gear up for Spring and Summer we ask all residents to inspect their properties for structural issues (broken windows, peeling paint, missing shingles on the roof and siding and rotting wood, etc.)  The goal is to keep the Borough of Cleona a safe and beautiful community in which to live, benefitting us all.

If you have any questions, please call the Borough Office at 717-272-7167.   Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
